Oil Painting Framing

As a standard our oil paintings are shipped rolled in a sturdy tube ready for stretching and/or framing by your local outlet.

As a standard all paintings are prepared with a large clean white border 10cm (3.9"} so that your local framer can easily stretch your painting. This also means that paintings can be stretched over the wooden frame, with or without the requirement of a decorative frame.

Stretching paintings over the frame without an outside decorative frame provides a shadow box effect . It also offers a very contemporary method of display with the added advantage of being an economic option!

If you would like the excess border completed in a different color, or even as an extension of the painting itself, so that it wraps over the side of the frame, this can be arranged at no extra charge. Please just email us with your requirements.

We do offer a framing service for the smaller size canvases. It is not generally economic for us to frame larger paintings, as shipping costs are calculated by volume and weight, and it is therefore usually more cost effective to have your painting stretched locally.
